Naxos, Greece: Mini-Guide

I FREAKING love the Greek Islands and it’s truly somewhere I could go every single year and not get tired of it! There’s a reason the first time I went I planned to be there for 7 days and stayed for a month…

Naxos is an island I’ve been to twice and will keep returning to because it’s just so easy, stunning, affordable and somewhere I’ve honestly considered moving to! The people are so welcoming, the water’s sparkling, the food’s amazing, just all around a great island.

Where to Stay

Naxos has plenty of accommodation options for any price range, and your money goes far! I’ve linked a few places I’ve stayed and/or have saved to my list for future stays. I’m listing them here roughly priced low-to-high. The easiest way to get around Naxos will be with a moped, ATV, or rental car – although there is also a bus system if you prefer! I’d recommend staying near any of the beach areas.

I usually use DiscoverCars to book rental cars!

What To-Do

Naxos has SO much to do and it’s centrally located so you could also use it as a hub to do day trips to places like Koufonisia, Paros, Mykonos, etc. The BEST way to appreciate Naxos is probably by taking tours of the island and/or renting something to get around so you can enjoy all the various beaches & mountain villages!

  1. Hi We’re planning on staying at Santorini 2 days and Mykonos 3 days. is it possible to take a day trip from either places to naxos? and maybe also do a couple more islands like Oia etc?

  2. Hey, I’m planning to spend 18 days in Greece in June. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. I’m a little lost and I don’t know where to start my planning from. I just saw you have some posts about Greece, I’ll check them out now!
