Oxford, England: Mini-Guide

I’ll be honest, I had fairly low expectations for Oxford and was mostly going for the Harry Potter sites…but WOW. The town is so cute, with some of the most stunning architecture!!

While you can just do a day trip from London, I’d recommend spending a least a night, 2 if you can, in Oxford. All the day trips leave in the evening anyways then you get more of a real feel of what it’s like without all the crowds!

Where to Stay

Oxford is incredibly walkable if you stay near the center, which I’d recommend doing! It’s also very bike friendly so if you stay a bit further out you can always bike into town.

What To-Do

Oxford is basically a town built around Oxford University. The University is made up of over 30 colleges, some of which are open to the public to visit! Just know that you may need to book in advance (like Christ Church College). But truly one of the best things to do in Oxford is wander the old streets and get lost in it’s history.
